Determination of Spectral and Broadband Albedos in Visible-near Infrared Bands for Different Phenophases of Wheat Using Hemispherical Directional Reflectance Measurements

Albedo is an important parameter in radiation balance, energy atmospheric correction of remote sensing data and weather forecasting models. The values albedo agricultural area vary with changes biophysical parameters at different phenophases the crop. Spectral broadband visible-infrared bands for wheat canopy was estimated numerical spectral integration hemispherical directional reflectance factors (HDRFs). HDRF measurements on were acquired 54 view angles (6 azimuthal planes × 9 zenith angles) to cover hemispheric span up 60° 7-8 days’ interval during early growth stages physiological maturity. Canopy measured parallel HDRFs varies decreasing pattern advancement stages. Visible-infrared crop maximum (tillering booting; 0.23) minimum late (late milking dough; 0.15). retrieved from this investigation can be useful phenophase specific applications cropland fluxes algorithms, phenotyping, regional climate modeling other studies.
